Synch is proud to have assisted PolarVentures, a subsidiary of Polarbrödsgruppen, in its investment in the Swedish AgriTech company BlueRedGold. The investment is part of a €2.73 million funding round led by PINC, the venture capital arm of Paulig.
BlueRedGold has developed the world’s first scalable indoor system for year-round saffron cultivation, made possible through advanced robotics and AI. The funding will be used to build a modular facility designed for profitability from day one.
BlueRedGold’s system replicates ideal growing conditions indoors, enabling multiple harvests per year while automating the complex processes of picking and separating saffron flowers. The result is more predictable yields, improved quality, and a long-term path to sustainable production.
PolarVentures, founded in 2023, focuses on accelerating the transition toward a regenerative food system, one that strengthens the planet rather than depleting it. The investment in BlueRedGold aligns with the company’s mission to support scalable, tec-driven food innovations.
