Gästrike Återvinnare is responsible for municipal waste management across the five member municipalities of Gävle, Sandviken, Hofors, Ockelbo and Älvkarleby. Gästrike Återvinnare oversees the collection, treatment, planning and communication of all household waste services within the region, with a strong focus on sustainability and efficient resource management. Gästrike Avfallshantering operates a key waste management facility located in Forsbacka, contributing to the region’s long-term environmental and circular-economy objectives.
Following the completion of the transaction, PreZero will continue to operate and develop the facility, ensuring continuity in the company’s services and ongoing support for the region’s waste management infrastructure.
