Synch is proud to have acted as legal advisor to Tandem Health, a pioneering health tech company, in connection with its recent $50M equity financing round, led by Kinnevik – with participation from Northzone, Amino Collective and Visionaries Club.
Last year, Synch advised on Tandem Health's Seed round, and we are very excited to be part of their journey ahead. The funding will support Tandem’s mission to transform clinical workflows across Europe and beyond.
Healthcare systems across the world are facing a growing crisis. Many clinicians spend nearly half their day on administrative tasks like writing notes, managing referrals, and handling follow-ups. It drains energy, slows access to care, and costs health systems billions. The combination of clinician shortages, rising healthcare costs, and an aging population is making the situation even more urgent.
Tandem is solving this through novel AI technologies. Its AI medical assistant is already in use by more than 1,000 healthcare organisations, including primary care, mental health, and specialist settings. The company’s recent partnership with Accurx in the UK brings AI-assisted clinical documentation to over 200,000 NHS professionals, making it one of the largest AI deployments in healthcare worldwide.
Given our great experiences with Synch from our Seed round, they were our top pick for legal advisor now. Our Series A was a very quick process over just a couple of weeks, and Synch has been an integral part of enabling this rapid timeline. They've been extremely available and provided excellent advice throughout, says Lukas Saari, CEO of Tandem Health.
Synch is a business-oriented law firm with innovation and technology at its heart. Our mission is to bring calm to any legal question, no matter the challenge. We do this this by using our curiosity to deeply understand our clients' challenges and fully grasp their needs, applying a combination of our knowledge, experience, and the best use of technology through advisory services and packaged solutions.
Synch acted as legal advisor to Tandem Health with a team led by partner Andreas Börjesson and senior associate Sofia Tångelin, mainly assisted by associate Julia Jansson, with Jim Runsten as Client Responsible Partner.
