The round was led by the Scaleup Europe Fund, managed by EQT, with participation from existing investors Kinnevik, Northzone, Amino Collective and Visionaries Club.
Having advised Tandem Health since its Seed round and through its $50M Series A in 2025, Synch is pleased to continue supporting the company on its impressive growth journey. The Series B round also marks the Scaleup Europe Fund's first healthcare investment, underscoring the significance of what Tandem is building.
Europe’s health systems are on an unsustainable trajectory, facing a deepening crisis marked by a widening gap between patient demand and workforce capacity. This is driven by a growing shortage of clinicians, alongside the dual pressures of rising costs and an aging population. In this high-pressure environment, clinicians spend a significant part of their day on administrative tasks such as documentation, referral management and follow-ups, drawing time and resources away from what matters most: patient care.
Tandem Health is addressing this challenge by building clinically safe, regulatory-grade AI that clinicians can trust. The company has embraced Europe's high standards for safety and quality, with its AI Scribe, Coding Assistant and Clinical Decision Support each independently certified as Class IIa medical devices under the EU Medical Device Regulation — making Tandem the only AI Medical Assistant with all three products holding such certification. This further demonstrates the company’s commitment to rigorous standards of quality, safety and regulatory compliance, while strengthening the credibility of its solutions among healthcare providers. The trusted platform is already used by 10,000 care organizations across 14 European markets, and the new funding will accelerate its evolution from an AI Medical Assistant into a comprehensive AI-native Clinic Operating System while deepening its presence across Europe.
