Synch advises AlzeCure Pharma on its heavily oversubscribed SEK 30.1 million rights issue

Synch has acted as legal advisor to AlzeCure Pharma AB (“AlzeCure”) in connection with its recently completed rights issue. The rights issue was oversubscribed to approximately 329 percent.

AlzeCure is a pharmaceutical company developing innovative drug candidates for diseases affecting the nervous system, including Alzheimer’s disease and pain.

The company has recently achieved some exciting milestones, among others by the entering into a collaboration and out-licensing agreement with the pharmaceutical company Eli Lilly regarding the global rights to the Alzheimer’s project Alzstatin ACD680, with a total deal value, excluding royalty payments, that may exceed $1 billion USD.

AlzeCure has also recently announced the entering into an out-licensing and collaboration agreement with QuantumCell ApS, a Danish tech-enabled biotech company, regarding the global rights to AlzeCure’s Alzheimer’s platform NeuroRestore, including the leading drug candidate ACD856.

Synch is a long-term partner of AlzeCure and we are grateful to be part of their growth journey. The strong interest in the share issue is a clear vote of confidence in AlzeCure and their research. The new financing enables AlzeCure to accelerate the development of their pain projects while continuing to advance their Alzheimer's disease programmes together with partners.

“We appreciate our broad collaboration with Synch. The team is experienced, supportive and always available.”, says Martin Jönsson, CEO of AlzeCure.

The Capital Markets team at Synch consisted of Mattias Anjou, Sofia Tångelin and Clara Löfgren.
