Commercial, Corporate M&A – Tier 5 – new ranking


Synch Advokat AB’s corporate team is particularly strong handling M&A transactions in the digital and tech spaces and is well regarded in the start-up and scale-up segment. Firm co-founder Andreas Börjesson, with over 20 years of experience, leads the team.

FinTech: Tier 3 – maintained


Synch Advokat AB’s fintech team is active in the space, handling regulatory matters, including licence applications made to the Swedish Financial Supervisory Authority, as well as various transactional matters spanning seed fundings, share issuances, financings, and M&A work. Financial regulatory specialist Johan Ragnar jointly leads the team with Oskar Arndt, who joined the firm in February 2023 from an in-house role.

Synch Advokat AB’s team has a solid track record in handling the full range of IP work, including patents, copyright, and trade mark matters, and has extensive experience in acting for life sciences, technology, and media sector clients. Patent law expert Mathilda Nordmark regularly represents retail, fintech, and life sciences clients; she co-heads the practice with Sara Sparring, whose practice covers trade marks and copyright, including both contentious and non-contentious matters.

IT and Telecoms: Tier 2 – maintained


Synch Advokat AB continues to handle a high volume of work for start-up clients, including regulatory issues, commercial contracts and litigation. Jim Runsten, who leads the team, is well-versed in acting for multinational tech groups, often in commercial and regulatory matters. Johan Tydén is a highly respected telecoms expert, while Karolina Pekkari is noted for her strength in advising on commercial contracts, data privacy, and outsourcing issues. Erica Antonovic is singled out for her contributions.
